Saying sorry.

Posted: July 13, 2011 in Uncategorized

I’ve been watching some videos at , the saying sorry campaign.

It’s been very interesting and at times quite moving. But it made me think about who I had to say sorry to.

I’m sorry to everyone that I was not honest about who I was, that I let fear of what others would think of me dictate my life. I’m sorry to my ex-wife and kids that I didn’t make it as a husband in a straight relationship, I know that actually I was doing a bad job trying.

I’m sorry that I  didn’t speak out when people would have a go at us who simply thought they had never met an LGBT person when I was standing in front of them.

What am I going to do about it?

Well, I’m going to do my best to be a father to my kids and  a friend to my ex-wife. I’m going to stand up for LGBT people in the church and anywhere they are put down or treated like second class human beings. It’s a matter of justice.
